About Southern Charm Doula Services

Southern Charm Doula Services was established in 2019, by Amanda Pavlich, with a mission of providing evidence-based birth and postpartum support for new and growing families. We see each pregnancy as a unique miracle and an opportunity to build the foundation for a happy and healthy family.  Our birth doulas understand the birth process, and we know how important a positive birth experience is for new parents. We also understand newborns, with all of their funny little quirks and big — sometimes loud — needs. Our postpartum doulas are available to answer your 532 questions and help you have a great settling-in time with your new baby (think amazing meals, a trained and nonjudgemental ear to process these big changes, education and tips for everyone, entertainment for big brothers and sisters, and a little extra sleep for the whole family after those rough nights). Everything is customized, because your situation is uniquely yours. Based in Navarre, Fl we attend births at hospitals, and birth facilities and attend home births from Pensacola to Miramar Beach. Our services also include childbirth education, breastfeeding support, newborn care, postpartum care, and pediatric sleep management.

**Please note: At this time we do not take Tricare**

Amanda Pavlich

Owner, Doula, Pediatric Sleep Specialist

Amanda is the owner and founder of Southern Charm Doula Services. She is a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator, breastfeeding counselor, and pediatric sleep specialist. She is also a health educator, holding various degrees and certifications in the health and wellness field.

As an advocate for maternal mental health, she saw a great need for supporting the mothering experience. In 2018, she shifted her career focus from health and wellness, to focus on maternal and infant health and outcomes. She is passionate about supporting families to have their very best birthing and postpartum experience. She has attended over 100 local births and supported over 1,000 families worldwide with her virtual parent coaching and pediatric sleep management support

Amanda lives in Navarre, is a military spouse (retired), and mother of three children. Her hobbies include hiking, camping, paddleboarding, piano, and of course family time.

DeAnna Chandler

Registered Nurse, Birth Doula

DeAnna is a DONA-certified birth doula and Registered Nurse. She graduated from Arkansas Tech University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in December 2012. She started her career as a registered nurse in January 2013 as an adult critical care nurse. After her first year, she transferred over to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She worked as a full-time NICU nurse at a Level 3 facility for 1 year before moving to UAMS, which had a Level 4 NICU. After about 3 years, she followed her dream of working as a maternal/infant float nurse at UAMS, a high-risk
maternal/infant facility. As a float nurse, she rotated working her shifts on the antepartum unit, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and NICU. She has attended many deliveries-vaginal and cesarean. She has worked hand-in-hand with lactation consultants and was trained in a baby-friendly facility. After having her first child the end of 2017, she started working as a PRN maternal/infant nurse at
a smaller facility.

Being a military family, she moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida in early 2019. She and her husband welcomed their second child in November 2019. DeAnna had a doula during the delivery of her firstborn and saw the impact this type of support person can have on families. She hopes to use her passion and experience as a maternal-infant nurse paired with her Doula training to help provide families with a positive birthing experience.
